Sometimes
we tend to feel nostalgic about the past even if it may carries with it a lot
of pain and bad memories. That's, in my humble opinion, comes from our nature
as human beings . As time passes our minds keep deleting some little details that
were soul-tiring and that could make us only remember the bright side of the past. By doing that we just
ignore, or trying to ignore, every pain we had felt back there . Therefore, we
gravitate to the idea of living in the past. But let me ask you a question here.
Isn't it a good thing to let go and forget what hurt us?
To
answer this question in a truthful way, we ought to think about our present
time as well . How many times in our lives
have we gone through a bad full day just because something bad happened in the
early hours of it? And sometimes what happened in the beginning of that miserable
day, as you may have called it, could stay with us for a longer time. So what I
really want to emphasize here is
treating our present events the same way we treat that too distant past we
stuck in. It is ok to live a bad day from time to time, we all do by the way, but
we always have to keep in mind that having a bad day doesn't necessarily mean
having a horrible life because whatever is bothering us now will become part of
our distant past that some of us would die just to live it again.
Bottom
line, learning how to cope with struggles and challenges we face day after
another is the right way to just live the moment and keep going and never ruin
our new tomorrow before it even hits.
